Students are being released from Bell Gardens High School as authorities investigate reports of a handgun on campus Wednesday.
According to the Bell Gardens Police Department, there were no reports of a shooting and students are safe.
As the investigation continues, police advised the public to avoid the area.
Students were being released only through the Jaboneria Road/Watcher Street gate, according to police.
