With the holiday rush just around the corner, the American Red Cross is urging people to donate blood or platelets to keep the supply steady this fall.
Those who decide to donate blood between Oct. 19 and Nov. 22 will get up to $20 in rewards, including a $10 Amazon gift card by email and 500 bonus points, which can be redeemed for a $10 e-gift card through Blood Donor Rewards, according to Red Cross officials.
People with all blood types, especially those with type O blood, are encouraged to donate.
