The Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center will run a John Carpenter triple feature on Saturday, Oct. 24, followed by a century-old silent film with live accompaniment on Oct. 27 and “Psycho” on Halloween.

Saturday, Oct. 24: Synthesizers & Screams

The marathon opens at 3 p.m. with “They Live” (1988), Carpenter’s satirical science-fiction thriller, followed at 5 p.m. by “Halloween” (1978).

After a dinner break, the psychotronic rock band Salem Wolves plays a themed live set at 7:45 p.m. “The Thing” (1982) follows at 8:45 p.m. in a 4K restoration.

Individual tickets are $15 for “They Live,” $15 for “Halloween” and $20 for “The Thing” with the live music. A triple-feature pass is $40 and covers all three; it can be selected at checkout from any of the three film pages.

F.W. Murnau’s 1926 silent film screens at 7 p.m. in a restored version, with a live score performed on synth-piano by silent-film accompanist Jeff Rapsis, who will introduce the film and lead a Q&A afterward.

Saturday, Oct. 31: ‘Psycho’

Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 thriller, starring Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh, screens at 4:30 p.m.
